7 out of 10 say YES to Scout Moor Windfarm

Peel Holdings commissioned market research consultants MORI to undertake research into the opinions of residents in Bury, Rossendale and Rochdale about windfarms in general and Scout Moor particularly.

The poll was carried out over 17 days in August and September 2002 and the results show:

• 88% think wind farms are a very of fairly good idea
  
• 72% think Scout Moor is a very or fairly good idea
  
• 63% stated wind power as the preferred energy source
